Choose your approach to the Three Peaks

From Rifugio Auronzo

Rifugio Auronzo is a well-known starting point for walks around the Three Peaks. This is still high-mountain terrain: allow several hours for the full circuit, with enough time for breaks and your return journey.

From Val Fiscalina or Val Campo di Dentro

The ascents from the valleys are considerably longer mountain hikes with substantial elevation gain. They suit experienced, fit walkers. Select a specific route using a current map and local conditions.

Enjoy the view from the valley

The Three Peaks viewpoint in Val di Landro is an alternative if you prefer not to undertake a long mountain hike. Include it in a day exploring the surrounding valleys.

Prepare your journey and your walk

The road to Rifugio Auronzo and shuttle services operate seasonally. Check current reservation rules for the road, parking and buses, and arrange the return part of any shuttle journey too.

Take sturdy hiking footwear, weather protection and enough water. Changing weather, remaining snow and closures may affect your plans. Use a map to assess the route, elevation gain and time required.
