From late November to early January, Christmas markets fill South Tyrolean towns and villages with festive decorations, scents and flavours. Visitors and local residents alike enjoy hot drinks, Christmas baking and traditional crafts.
Decorated stalls, handmade gifts and Christmas music create a welcoming atmosphere and bring back childhood memories of the festive season.
This archived article looks back at San Candido’s first Christmas market in the 2014–2015 season. At the foot of the Sesto Dolomites, the town brought together South Tyrolean crafts, seasonal food and Christmas music, with views of Baranci and the illuminated pedestrian centre.
The event described took place from 29 November 2014 to 6 January 2015. For your next stay, see our current offers and online booking.
